My Oscar Picks…

So did everyone tune in last night for the red carpet?  BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!  I coulda had a V8.  And what is with Ryan Seacrest not inquiring about the designers?  Can we please get Guilliana down there next year!  

Moving on, although I thought the carpet was sad overall, I did have three favs for the night…..

Jenny Lo looked stunning in her Armani pretty in pink gown…

LUV it.  And you know she knows how to pose!

Demi did not disappoint in this ruffled Versace number…

And I thought Miley Cyrus was just the cutest thing in strapless Jenny Packham…

She was also my pick for best makeup…

I’m sorry, no bueno Zoe!  Was she still stuck in Avatar? I don’t know which I hated more, the chandelier material top or the loofah sponge bottom…

And SJP in Chanel?  Lawd…

And had the nerve to show the back…

I’m loving the eye makeup here…

…I’m normally not a fan of anything asymmetrical but this dress is gorgeous and she wears it well.

Golden Globe Beauties: My 5 Favs…

Penelope Cruz

My pick for the night’s best makeup and hair.  Her romantic look was so pretty.  Makeup was simple, a subtle smokey eye and neutral lips.  Her full brows and soft, loose curls just add to the whole look.

Halle Berry

Need I say more?  I mean wow, if I could look like this at 43!  I’m always amazed at her flawless, glowing skin and those amazing cheekbones and no one can work a short pixie cut like Halle.

And look at that back!!!!!!!

Christina Aguilera

It’s nice too see Christina, well, less made up.  I like this understated look she has going on here.  Chin length bob with barely there makeup gives a nice delicate look.  Loves it.

Zoe Saldana

2nd to Penelope, the Avatar beauty was my other best hair pick of the night.  I am loving the shoulder length curls, again very romantic and soft (possible rollerset?).    Mauve eyeshadow and rosey cheeks complete the look.

Anna Kendrick

I thought she looked great last night.  A darker eye with bare cheeks and subtle lips.  Also loving the side swept updo with loose tendrils.  Soft and pretty overall.

AMA Miss: Alicia Keys…

I’m just not a fan of matching your makeup to your clothes.  Blue shadow, pink lips to match the hues in her dress?  Me no likey.  I think she should’ve lost the eyeshadow, kept the lip color and had her hair in a nice sleek bun would’ve complemented the dress better.

AMA Beauty: Fergie…

Dontcha just love Fergie’s darker hair?  Nothing much to her makeup, peachy cheecks and lips and a very subtle smokey eye.

AMAs Beauty: Rihanna…

Last night Rihanna hit up the AMAs with some FIERCE eyemakeup.  The focus was all on her eyes while the rest of her face was simple.   She rocked what looks like a reddish shadow smudged on the top and lower lash lines, black winged eyeliner and web-like lashes.  Her lips were a nude color while her cheeks appeared to be lightly buffed with a rosey blush.  I’m assuming her regular makeup artist Mylah Morales created this fabulousness…LUVs it!
