We all want to get the most out of our mascara. Truth be told, it’s all about technique. You can get pretty much any mascara to produce great results just based on how you apply it…

The second tip is from yours truly. Well, not really from me, but I learned this a few months back while attending a MAC makeup class and It’s pretty simple. Picture the motion your windshield wipers make on your car. Use that same motion when initially applying your mascara. Hold the wand upright, and using the tip of the wand, go back and forth, from left-to-right, across your lashes just like a windshield wiper. After you’ve coated your lashes this way, go back, holding the wand horizantally this time, and reapply. This helps get every lash coated, for a more even application!

Lanc么me makeup artist Darais worked with Ashley Greene for Cosmopolitan鈥檚 Fun Fearless Female party at the W hotel in Los Angeles. To created the Twilight star’s young, fresh look, Darais did the following:
To played up her eyes, cheeks and lips, he used Lanc么me鈥檚 Color Design Liberty Palette in Nude Elegance (NEW from the fall color collection Declaring Indigo) and then applied Lanc么me Le Crayon Kh么l in Black Coffee to the upper lash line to make Ashley鈥檚 eyes pop. Darais added some color to the cheeks with Lanc么me Blush Subtil in Miel Glac茅. To create her soft coral colored pout, Darais used Lanc么me Color Fever Gloss in Solaire. Long, beautiful lashes are all the rage right now so Darais mixed a few Shu Uemura faux-lashes with Ashley鈥檚 natural lashes and then applied Lanc么me 脭scillation Powerbooster to condition and strengthen the lashes. To finish the look, he coated Ashley鈥檚 lashes with several coats of Lanc么me鈥檚 NEW mascara Hypn么se Drama (which goes on sale tomorrow exclusively at Sephora).
